Public school system to use fingerprint time clocks for employees.
Iowa - NOVAtime Technology has announced that the Des Moines Public Schools has chosen NOVAtime to automate its time and attendance process for its employees across the school district.
According to the company, its subscription-based workforce management solution, NOVAtime 4000 Software as a Service, as well as over 80 of its NT6500 fingerprint time clocks will be used across the Des Moines system.
“Our multi-tiered software architecture and cluster design allow us to add server capacity on-demand, at the precise tier-without interrupting service,” Brian Harris, Vice President of Client Services said. “It offers true scalability to easily handle the size of DMPS.”
NOVAtime’s public sector partner, Government Software Solutions, was also involved in this deal an was engaged throughout the procurement and contract process.

Many schools in various regions of the world are looking to install biometric attendance systems or have done so recently. These systems are typically for teacher attendance, student attendance or student payment systems.

NOVAtime Employee Privacy Protection:
An employee simply places a finger on the reader window, and the reader quickly and automatically captures the biometric data. This data is then transformed it into an encrypted data string through the use of a mathematic algorithm. This enables confirmation of the employee identity, while also ensuring that the fingerprint data is protected.
