The chart gun control lobbyists are trying to keep secret.

What we are hearing from bloviating gun control advocates in America is nothing short of emotionally driven irrationality.
According to statistics assembled from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Center for Disease Control and the Federal Government, firearms related homicides are minuscule in comparison to other the other “big killers” in the United States.
If we look at homicide statistics in the United States it’s clear that more murders are committed with knives, bats, hammers and poisons than with firearms. As Kurt Nimmo recently noted, “ the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outpaces the number of murders committed with a rifle.”
The facts, not the drivel being spewed by the anti-gun propaganda machine, leave us wondering why some State and Federal lawmakers are so adamant about restricting the sale and ownership of handguns and rifles, especially since the majority of gun owners – close to 99% – have never committed a violent crime in their lives, let alone used a gun to do so.
The chart above proves that politicians and those who would disarm Americans by going so far as to call for a repeal of the 2nd Amendment have ulterior motives – or they’re completely ignorant of the facts.
Perhaps their goal is to trigger a revolution in an effort to implement a total police state over the American people.
It wouldn’t be the first time that a government has tried something like this.

Total media blackout on shooting where private citizen stopped mass murder by using a gun.
TX - Just two days after the horrible massacre of 20 Kindergarten children and six adults by an armed psychotic, another mass murder did not take place at a movie theater in San Antonio.
For those of you who don't live in that south Texas city, did you read about this non-massacre in your local paper? Did you see it online? Hear about it on the radio or television?
If not, trust us when we say it's not your fault. It's the fault of the mainstream media, for they have once again failed in their mission to be impartial conveyers of news and information because of an anti-gun agenda.
Late in the evening of December 16, two people were wounded after gunfire erupted at a local movie theater; the shots, of course, sent panicked moviegoers scrambling for the exits and ducking for any cover they could find.
According to the San Antonio News-Express, witnesses reported that numerous shots were fired inside and outside the Santikos Mayan Palace 14 theater complex, which set off a scramble to safety as cops and emergency medical personnel responded.
Detective Louis Antu, a spokesman for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, said the shooting began near the theater, at a China Garden restaurant. At one point the suspect even took a few shots at a San Antonio Police cruiser, Antu said.
"He was shooting at a marked unit," Antu said. "He knows he was shooting at an officer so that's (an) automatic (charge of) attempted capital murder."
Once the suspect reached the theater, however, an female off-duty Bexar County Sheriff deputy who happened to be working at the theater (and was obviously armed), shot back and struck him.
"She took all appropriate action to keep everyone safe in the movie theater," Antu said.
Witness Tara Grace, who was buying a drink from the concession stand when the shooting began, ran into a nearby bathroom and locked herself in a stall with five other moviegoers to get out of the way. "We thought we were going to die," she said.
But she didn't - because an armed citizen protected her and the other patrons.
What happened at the San Antonio theater "brings back memories of the other theater shooting, and the elementary school shooting," said Cassandra Castillo as she waited outside the theater for her son, who is a projectionist there. "You only think the worst."
And that's because government policies only provide for one outcome in these kinds of situations - the worst outcome.
But when trained, armed citizens are permitted full access to their constitutional right of self-defense, the worst outcomes in such dire situations can, and very often are, avoided.
It's just too bad you don't hear much about these heroes and how they are able to use our wonderful Constitution to save lives. You can thank the corporate media and their blatant anti-gun agenda for that.

Wal-Mart and other retailers have a financial interest in new gun control laws.
Sources in the White House say the administration is considering a broader and strategy on guns control in the wake of the Newton, Connecticut, mass shooting; the approach being considered will go farther than a ban on certain types of assault weapons; the Biden task force, which will submit its recommendations to President Obama in a few weeks, is leaning toward adoption of measures recommended by the law enforcement community, among them requiring universal background checks for firearm buyers, tracking the movement and sale of weapons through a national database, strengthening mental health checks, and stiffening penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors.
President Barack Obama has tasked Vice President Joe Biden with heading a task force to examine different policy options, and the Washington Post reports that Biden’s study group is leaning toward adoption of measures recommended by the law enforcement community, among them requiring universal background checks for firearm buyers, tracking the movement and sale of weapons through a national database, strengthening mental health checks, and stiffening penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors.
Fox News reports that to get around the likely opposition to proposed measures by the National Rifle Association (NRA) and its supporters, the administration may is likely to enlist Wal-Mart and other gun retailers who, in the past, have expressed support for similar measures.
These gun retailers have an economic interest in closing the current background check loopholes, which allow people to buy guns at gun shows without being subjected to background checks. The assumption is that if background checks apply universally, people would prefer the convenience of a near-by retailer over the need to drive hours to a gun show.
The Post also reports thatBiden’s group will not stop at legislative proposals, but would also propose a series of measures that can be implemented by an executive order. Such administrative action may include changes to federal mental-health programs and modernization of gun-tracking efforts by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

NRA private security advocate (armed security in schools) works for Pinkerton/Securitas.
At a no-questions press conference in late December following the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., National Rifle Association executive vice president Wayne LaPierre announced a bold new multi-billion-dollar proposal to end school shootings: Put an armed security guard or police officer in every school in the country. LaPierre commissioned a special task force to develop the plan, and deputized Asa Hutchinson, a former Republican congressman from Arkansas and director of the Drug Enforcement Agency under President George W. Bush, to head the effort.
But there's something the LaPierre didn't mention: Hutchinson sits on the board of directors of Pinkerton Government Services, a subsidiary of one of the nation's largest private security contractors, Securitas. And if the NRA's—and Hutchinson's—proposals are enacted into law, Securitas, a firm Hutchinson once lobbied for in Washington, could stand to score big.
Hutchinson's private-security connections were first reported by Sally Jo Sorensen of the progressive blog Bluestem Prairie. As Sorensen noted, Securitas paid Hutchinson and the firm he worked for, Venable LLC, $200,000 for lobbying services in 2006. (Hutchinson also lobbied on behalf of Point Blank Body Armor in 2007 and 2008.)
Over the last three weeks, Hutchinson has made an evolving case for LaPierre's agenda in a series of interviews and op-eds. After first suggesting that it might be possible to staff schools with armed volunteers, he offered a pricier proposal in an op-ed for the Arkansas Democrat–Gazette on Friday: "A part of this solution will be the increased presence of trained, armed and professional security officers in schools."
Schools shouldn't accept just anyone to keep watch, Hutchinson argued. "Not every school can afford the costs, and not all armed officers are equally trained," he explained. "That is why it is so critical to create an effective federal, state and local sharing of costs, and, most importantly, to assure a high standard of training and certification. The training of armed personnel to protect our children should not be less than those who are trained to protect our airlines or even the president."
Hutchinson did not disclose his connections to the private security industry, but told Mother Jones his role with Pinkerton was in a regulatory advisory role. "I am not aware that PGS provides any school security services," he said in an email. "I have no connection to Securitas as I am a proxy board member under Department of Defense guidelines to assure that there is no foreign influence or control over PGS. There are some very specific legislative and regulatory requirements in reference to my work as a proxy board member."
Hutchinson is right about PGS. Bob Maydoney, a company spokesman, says the firm does not provide security for schools. Instead, Pinkerton Government Services specializes in security programs for government agencies and their contractors, offering, among other things, armed and unarmed security guards, EMTs, firefighters, and bicycle patrols.
But Pinkerton does have a Florida-based program, the Pinkerton Training School, developed "for the purpose of training security minded individuals and help them prepare to enter the field of professional security." Chris Reed, a spokesman for the academy, said the program is a necessary step for armed guards of all stripes. "Before you get that license you have to take a 40 hour class," he said. "We offer that class. And if we hear of any openings, we let them know."
A more likely candidate for a school safety contract, though, is Pinkerton's mother company, Securitas. According to Lynne Glovka, the firm provides security guards at "several hundred schools across the nation.” On its website, the company cites the need to prepare for "lockdown" situations.
"From weather emergencies and lockdown situations to bullying and violent assaults, educational institutions face a myriad of unique security threats," the company explains in a brochure. "And as school officials across the country well know, high-profile incidents can happen anytime, anywhere."
