A New WHO Report Proves Sweden Was Right: No Masks And No Lockdowns
"Even last year it became readily apparent that no one in the media or public health establishment was willing to discuss the inarguable reality that Sweden’s results were no worse than many countries across the globe — and significantly better than many, many others. Sweden’s relative success is easily visible when comparing thirty European countries in estimated excess mortality rate per 100,000: Sweden ranks 25th out of the 30 countries."

Senate fails to advance domestic terrorism bill over GOP opposition:
The final tally of the vote was 47-47. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer changed his vote from an "aye" to a "no" at the end in a procedural move to be able to bring the bill back up again in the future if he wants. The legislation would require the FBI, Justice Department and DHS to open offices dedicated to combating domestic terrorism and create a task force to address white supremacy in the U.S. military. The three agencies would be tasked with crafting a report every six months examining "the domestic terrorism threat posed by White supremacists and neo-Nazis, infiltration of Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies."

Using Community Control and Oversight Laws to Resist and Abolish Police Surveillance Technologies:
"The proliferation and use of technology by law enforcement is rooted in the hope that technological tools can improve policing. Improvement, however, is relative. Quantitative data and qualitative experience have proven the criminal legal system to be a site of racial injustice and rank brutality. The police are one of the principal instruments of those harms. For the policed, especially those communities who have been harmed by policing and the other facets of the system, law enforcement technologies only reify and exacerbate injustice. Surveillance technologies are of particular concern, as they are disproportionately wielded against economically disadvantaged communities of color, infringe on privacy, and tend to operate under a veil of secrecy."

Do People Caught on Ring Cameras Have Privacy Rights?
"Should a person who unknowingly appears in surveillance footage have privacy rights? Outside the US, some are saying yes. In the UK, a court recently upheld a fine levied against a Ring user for violating their neighbor’s privacy because the camera’s scope included parts of the neighbor’s house and garden. The judge reasoned that because “personal data may be captured from people who are not even aware that the device is there,” the device violated UK data privacy laws. It’s unlikely for such a decision to come to light in America. First, we lack the broader personal data protections that exist in the UK and EU. Second, we lack a legal solid foundation to make a claim for our own privacy if someone posts a video of us. Suing the owner of the camera would be both expensive and likely futile, unless you could somehow prove they intentionally set out to cause you emotional distress or that you were defamed and suffered some sort of loss. And finally, we’ve framed privacy as a right only for those who do not interfere with our own comfort, rather than as a value to be equally distributed across society."

"Police greediness is evident in the quest for private sponsorship of police, especially through private police foundations. Phishing was the second most common vector in attacks, providing initial access in 35% of ransomware attacks followed by the exploitation of vulnerabilities in web applications and direct installs. The high percentage of attacks involving remote desktop software and email highlights the importance of locking down RDP and securing email. The Era of Borderless Data Sharing Is Ending:
France, Austria, South Africa and more than 50 other countries are accelerating efforts to control the digital information produced by their citizens, government agencies and corporations.
